California Assisted Living Administrator Certification
In California, the assisted living administrator certification you need is the RCFE Administrator Certification. An RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) is the state’s assisted living license category, so our program is the path to becoming a certified assisted living administrator. After completing the course and passing the state administrator exam, you are eligible to operate or be employed as an RCFE administrator. The training is approved by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS Vendor # 2000761-740-1) and covers every topic required by California Title 22 regulations, including facility operations, medication management, resident rights, fire safety, staffing requirements, and cultural competency.

Inspiring compassionate leaders in community care
The Assisted Care Institute is committed to inspiring participants to become compassionate leaders in community care. Our mission is to provide a quality training experience to aspiring RCFE administrators by giving them the tools they need to prepare for the state certification exam.
We believe that providing quality training is key to producing competent RCFE administrators to serve the most vulnerable population — the frail and the elderly.
We train administrators to balance regulatory rigor with genuine human warmth — because residents and staff thrive under both.
